Many seniors in San Francisco live alone on a fixed income. They may need help around the house, extra income to pay for basic necessities, or just a little companionship. HOME MATCH San Francisco matches these senior homeowners with people such as teachers or non-profit employees, who need affordable housing in order to remain in the City.
HOME MATCH provides interviews, applications, background screening, and assistance with the housing agreements for all parties involved. Mediation and referral services are also available as needed.
Why share a home?
- Reduces financial strain
- Provides mutual companionship
- Supports independence and peace of mind
- Enables low- and middle-income people to remain in the City
